One day, when you least expect it, you will walk into your redemption. All those times you’d felt loss and mistreated; antagonized and insulted; those times you appeared to be weak…finally, sanctified. Redeemed. One day, you will look back and find comfort in having chosen joy and meekness despite the deep and painful wounds within because its rewards of inner peace – though, often times in my experience, comes later – far outweighs vengeance. One day, you will be thankful that you did not seek revenge against nor spoke ill of those who’ve hurt you because you will realize that, in the end, their true character is revealed to the world; that their rudeness determines their character, not yours. And one day, you will realize that one of the best decisions you’ve ever made – even if it didn’t seem like it during the depths of your despair – was letting go. And in letting go, you will have made room for new people who are worthy of your time and heart. One day, when you least expect it, these worthy people will have helped you forgotten the hurt and pain, entering your life to actually cleanse you of these, and will have been a reminder of just how much you truly deserve all the joy in the world.
